Breasts pain before menstruation and during it is normal and it can vary from normal to severe. The symptoms appear just before menstruation and the pain disappears during or after menstruation.
To calm breast pain you may try some remedies that may function very well:
Try to avoid salt (low-calorie foods and drinks contain usually salt), caffeine, chocolate that may produce breast pain.
Vitamin B6, B1 and E are known for their good effects in such cases. Some studies showed that vitamin B6 should be taken during premenstrual period and breast pain won’t appear anymore.
Compress. Use cold compresses to avoid breast swelling and warm compresses to calm down pain.
Sport. It may seem strange but if you do sports regularly this will produce a hormone that calms down pain and muscular stress.
A comfortable bra may be very useful. Those that are indicated for different sports are perfect.
Natural diuretics such as bilberry juice (if don’t prefer diuretic pills – these may disturb electrolytes level in the blood and may lead to other serious problems)
Other treatments for breasts pain that appears usually before menstruation would be having a hot relaxing bath , breathing exercises, ibuprofen 400mg four times a day, cabbage applied on the affected areas.
